Seattle Labor Chorus (SLC) Singalong, Saturday, March 2, 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at
the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St., Seattle, a little east of
Greenwood Avenue.

Come join us for a lively annual event, featuring community singing of topical
songs, along with some golden oldies (words provided). With an admission fee of
$10 to $15 per adult or $5 for children, you can nibble on homemade snacks and
desserts, buy wine or beer, buy tickets for the Chorus’ famous quilt raffle, bid
in a silent auction (bring your checkbook or cash), meet folks, and sing!
Tickets are available from Chorus members or at the door. The musical voice of
labor in Seattle, the SLC, would love to have you join us for this evening of
music and socializing! It’s our biggest fundraiser of each year, and we need
your support and fellowship! We are a non-audition chorus of about 40 singers
from all walks of life who serve the community in song. We appear at rallies,
protests, union meetings and on stages around the Seattle area to inspire and

Every year we raffle off a beautiful quilt handmade by Susan Gordon, one of our members and our co-chair. Each square on the quilt comes from a union or pro-labor T-shirt. The winner of our 6th Annual Quilt Raffle was Lynn Marie Smith, who gave us "Part Time Worker" and "We Need a Contract" . She was thrilled. The chorus sang her a little song even though we woke her up in Detroit. We raised about $2200 to support the chorus and we thank all of you who took a chance on the quilt and supported our work. The drawing for the 2008 SLC quilt will take place on
